Your canal boat could take you around the world! Or
your house could take you cruising UK canals!
|
Having a boat on the canal system is an asset
that can be taken advantage of in many ways. All around the world there are
people looking for different holiday opportunities.
Lending property to
unknowns may sound a bit scary but the principle of
house exchange is well established and tends to work well, with both sides
extending and responding to the mutual trust of allowing another family the
privilege of using their home - and often the car as well. So why not a canal boat?
|
If
you would like to offer a
boat/house holiday exchange just fill in our
Listings Request
Form.
There is no charge! But we only list exchanges involving a UK canal boat
and we do not include free links to other websites!
Or follow up any of the opportunities listed below. We present this information as
a free service and can make no guarantees about the arrangements offered, you
must make your own further enquiries and agreements.

We
own a 30 foot
traditional, 2+2 berth narrow boat.
It is moored outside our Bedfordshire home
on the river Great Ouse and is regularly
taken out onto the canal system of the UK.
This can give you access to the entire
2000-mile river and canal system of Britain
at a slower pace of life with Cambridge only
28 miles away by road but four days by boat.
We are experienced home/boat exchangers and
would be open to any offers. Contact

We
are 2 retired professional couples who would
be interested in swapping a deluxe Art Deco
home for your canal boat sometime in the
summer of 2008. We live in
Victoria, British
Columbia, Canada which is
probably the nicest small city in North
America (according to Conde Nast magazine).
We are planning on spending the summer of
2008 walking, cycling and boating through
Europe (we usually spend a month each year
cycling somewhere in Europe but want to
extend and diversify our visits). We would
desire a 3-4 week visit but other options
are acceptable. We have cycled extensively
in Britain but our friends are new to your
fine country. We would probably use the boat
as a mobile home and cycle while cruising.
You could expect the use of a van while here
and cleaners come in regularly. Jim & Marian
