This is a little hidden gem of a museum. We spent a very interesting hour in there learning about the history of the canal. I especially liked the WW2 section. Free but we left a donation. I do hope it survives.

Museum not open at present but the cafe and craft shop are with very good Covid controls measures in place

Just had a really nice, fresh and hot coffee and home-made cream and jam scones at the tea rooms. Didn’t have time to visit the museum as it closes at 4pm daily and I got delayed walking alongside the canal, which on its own is a treat.

Excellent centre for the Trust with a delightful café, shop, and museum. The museum displays are very informative, and include lots of information on the canal’s history, and about life on the canal. Highly recommended!
