Guide To The Swan

Staff were amazing! So friendly, quick and helpful. Variety of drinks and really nice coffee. Inside was lovely and warm and the outside seating area was great. Toilets were very clean.

We visited this pub as it was located close to our narrow boat on the Llangollen canal. We had an excellent meal, the menu was varied and the food was of a very high standard. The staff could not have been more helpful and we could can see why this pub received the Best Pub in Cheshire award.

We have been to the Swan a few times now and have enjoyed the experience each time. The food and service are always of a high standard. Our most recent visit coincided with their curry week.

The Swan is great if you just want a drink at the bar or there is plenty of space if you fancy dinning. Outdoors the patio is a good large space with lots of seating.

And recently a well deserved winner of the “Best Cheshire Pub” award.

Five of us booked last minute on Sunday for lunch, not knowing anything about the place or the area as we were passing through. Such a wonderful place we were thoroughly impressed. Decor is beautiful, staff were so friendly, and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Quote from my dad: “the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time”. My vegan roast was equally as impressive, didn’t feel like an afterthought dish, as it often can.

Lovey welcome when I just cruised in for a quick refresher pint on my way home.

The wine list is pretty comprehensive (varied), and their selection of whiskies would make one wish for a bed upstairs after a good dinner and some fine single malts.
